Born May 13th 1967 in Hackney, Kwame Amankwa Kwaten started his musical career learning production at Courtyard Studios. He soon joined D-Influence and went on the road supporting the worlds largest stars Michael Jackson, Prince, and James Brown. It was Shola Ama that broke D-Influence as mainstream writers and producers. Kwame personally found Shola.Hearing her humming while walking past each other Kwame auditioned her on the platform of Hammersmith station then signed her to D-Influence productions Freak Street Label. Shola Ama went on to sell 1 million albums and D-influence Produced “You Might Need Somebody” went on to be the huge radio hit from that album selling 2 million units as a single worldwide. Kwame founded the Urban Music Seminar in 1997 and co founded The Ultimate Seminar with Nikki Charles and Andrea Euell in 2010 –these events train the next generation of music business entreneur, between them these events attracted huge international stars as speakers – Kanye West / Kelly Rowland / Solange Knowles / Lethal B / Kano / Stormzy / J.Quinn Snow Patrol / Starley . Kwame now works predominantly in management. After starting his management career at ATC, he now also runs his own management company Ferocious Talent. Kwame’s Ferocious Talent Management roster looks after Jodie Abacus ,Scarlxrd (with Daniel Richards), Sarah Walk, Steve Brown (producer for Laura Mvula) Paradisia , Age Of Luna , Blue Lab Beats , Ruby Francis,Caitlyn Scarlett (a writer for Roc Nation’s Rihanna/Chase n Status) and many more exciting artists.
